Right you're in for a good one today people. I am sharing my two favourite recipes for protein pancakes, that's right not one... TWO. Protein pancakes are one of my favourites as a little weekend breakfast and obviously aren't too calorific. What more could you want?
(These were only 584 calories including toppings!)
So now onto the good part, the recipes.
Recipe 1:
50g Pancake mix/flour
50g Protein powder (any flavour, I use vanilla)
60g Low fat greek yoghurt
50g Egg whites
50ml Milk/almond milk
1tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Recipe 2:
50g Porridge oats (blended into flour consistency)
25g Protein powder
100ml Milk/almond milk
1 Egg
1/4tsp Baking powder
1tsp Cinnamon (optional)
(Mix all ingredients and fry in pan...just like normal pancakes lol)
So there you have it my two tried and tested protein pancake recipes (and trust me it's taken some time to find the perfect balance).
Depending what ingredients you have these are two amazing recipes. Now, obviously recipe 1 will be more calories as it has more ingredients in but they are both still relatively low calorie compared to normal American pancakes.
Toppings! This is where you can get as creative as you want. Whether it be yoghurt, fruit, bacon, maple syrup, honey, chocolate sauce or ice cream it can be anything you fancy. I like to get creative.
Now you have both recipes you are ready to go off and make your own! If you cook these make sure to send me a picture!
Thanks for reading,
Annie
