How to work MyFitnessPal

Are you wanting to start tracking your calorie intake but don't know where to start? Then carry on reading as todays blog is going to be all about how you can use MyFitnessPal to keep up with your calories and macros.



 

Step by step instructions:



  • Download the free 'MyFitnessPal' app.

  • Open up the app, it will ask you some questions (age, height, measurements etc) to help calculate your calorie goal.

  • Go to 'settings' and click on 'goals'.

  • Here you can adjust your calorie intake and macros to suit your goals.

  • Now you are ready to input your foods. Click on the + sign at the bottom of the app and start adding foods. You can either type them in manually or scan the barcodes to bring up the right type of food.

  • If you want to see if you're hitting your macros throughout the day you can click on the amount of calories and word 'goal' e.g. 1800 goal. Here you can see the % of the macros you have hit.

  • Keep up with it! (it does get easier once you get into the habit don't worry)




Now you know what to do, you're ready to go out and start tracking those foods!!
